There was a time when Ferrari was considered the ultimate thoroughbred name in Formula 1-inspired supercars.
Then McLaren returned to road cars with the 12C. There were definitely a few hiccups along the way, but today McLaren builds some of the best-looking and highest-performing supercars on the planet.
Are they as loud, wild and crazy as a Lamborghini? Nope.
Are they absolutely incredible? Without question.
And are they better-looking than Ferrari? In our completely unbiased opinion… definitely 😂🤣
I mean the Ferrari Luce was stunning right 😛

**Car update!!** 🚗🔥
Gosh, it’s hard work trying to find another car that properly fits the bill!
We missed out on the 600LT because we just weren’t quick enough. It was also right at the top end of the budget, and it’s always nicer to find something closer to the middle rather than stretching things too far 😅
We looked at another McLaren today and, ridiculous as it may sound, we currently have three different McLarens that we’re actively working on.
We also recently saw a friend’s Ferrari 458 and, damn, did that thing look and sound incredible. That’s definitely one area where the McLarens struggle to compete.
We’ve also found an Aston Martin Vantage that we’re pretty keen on, so we’ve chucked a few photos below.
It’s a funny market at the moment. It feels a bit like the housing market. People are still buying, the really nice cars disappear quickly, and the average stuff seems to sit around.
Getting something at the right price is an important part of the process for the business, but finding a genuinely good car that also fits the fleet and works well for our customers is just as important.
At this stage, it looks like there probably won’t be a Lamborghini in the mix. That said, if the right Huracán suddenly came up, we’d say it would probably be a done deal!
We had hoped to have something locked in by this weekend, but it looks like it’s not meant to be just yet.
If we can’t get something sorted within the next two weeks, we’ll likely push the next car out until summer and try again then.
And for anyone wondering why there are three different McLarens in contention, they really are phenomenal cars. They offer incredible performance for the money, look amazing, and the lifting doors always make them feel special.
There’s also something to be said for having a bit of redundancy in the fleet. If one car goes down for any reason, we’d still have another available.
But in an ideal world, we’d have a fleet with a few different flavours. Ultimately, the market, what our customers like and what becomes available will help determine what we buy.
